Yeah, I totally need to post on here, even if some of you know me already. This is mainly for the benefit of PyroHeart's friends. Just bare with me since I suck at introductions.
Not too much to say though really, except that I obviously like reading and writing. xd. I mainly read/write the fantasy genre since the whole magic thing really fascinates me, but I've been known to dabble in other things. Right now, I'm going being omg!squee over Carol Berg's Rai-Kirah Saga, and want to start on some of her other works, but haven't had a chance yet (though I have copies of some of her other books 1s sitting in my room atm).
First off, I'm really more of a character person at the core. Simply put, if I can't care about your main character and get into his/her head, then I'll have issues enjoying the story. They really need to be believable for me. I have a ton of other likes too, but characters are really the main thing in the end that can make or break a story for me.
My current project that I've been spending way too much time thinking over is Divergence. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but the random idea I had yesterday is making me think it might end up longer than that, which scares me. I'll probably be working on that during our unofficial NaNo thingy, just because I need an excuse to work on it again.
I should also mention that I'm overanalytical with this reading/writing stuff. I can find issues in pretty much any writing you throw at me, including published books. That said, don't tell me to read and comment on your writing, unless you want comments on things to improve and such. My comments tend to lean more towards character and plot stuff though, but can hit on other things. Though this is also a bad thing in the sense that I get into these moods where I think my writings too horrible and I have to scrap it, so it's hard for me to get much of my own stuff written.
There's probably more, but totally can't think of anything else to put.
